Social Media Highlights

We want to highlight you on our social media! Once you receive your headshots from Studios staff, you will receive a link to upload materials for a highlight. 

Please let us know when you have big career milestones (solo show, book published, etc). We can sometimes highlight it on social, if we have space that week. And please add us to your mailing list!

Assets for artists Online Workshop Access

For up to a year after your residency, you receive free access (when space allows) to join Assets for Artists online financial and business workshops, an opportunity typically limited to artists who live in MA, RI or CT. Please visit A4A’s Workshops Page to view the upcoming schedule.

Museum Membership

Your MASS MoCA membership is valid for 3 months after the first day of your residency. Register for member tickets here, your email address will be in our system. Let us know if you’re ever back on campus!

Alumni Residencies

If you’re a Studios at MASS MoCA alum, we’re thrilled that you’d like to come back! Twice per year, we have an Alumni application that puts you in a separate pool from the extremely large General Application pools so you’re only competing against fellow alumni. While it’s not as competitive as the General Application pools, we only reserve a few alumni spots each season and acceptance is not guaranteed. We prioritize alumni who have not previously had an Alumni Residency at MASS MoCA, especially alumni who have reached another moment in their career when a residency in the Studios could be particularly beneficial. We ask alums to wait two years after your first residency before applying for the Alumni Residency opportunity. At this time, alumni are not eligible for residency fellowships and instead pay a standard alumni rate of $400/wk for residencies of 4 weeks, or $450/wk for a 2-week residency. (Please note: students who have attended a workshop-in-residence are not considered eligible alumni for this opportunity.)

Deadlines for Alumni Applications are February 1 and August 1. Applications will open two months prior to the deadline.

Evaluation Survey

Don’t forget to tell us how your experience was and what we can do to improve. You will receive a departure email with a link to the exit survey.

Foundwork Access

We have a collaboration with Foundwork where residents and alumni of the Studios are invited to create a profile completely free of charge. Upon the completion of your exit survey, you will receive a exclusive sign-up code for Studios at MASS MoCA residents and alumni, and we're glad to share Foundwork with you as a resource to support your practice.
